Lyle made his first foray into acting in 2005 with a Theater role as Diego in "Historias de un Cuarto de Azotea". A few years later, he followed that up with lead roles in the movies Ya No Importa, Proyecciones, Corcholatas.

Rex was born Simon Rex Cutright in San Francisco, California and is the only child of Paul and Zoe Cutright, a relationship coach and an environmental consultant. At the age of seventeen, Rex was sent to a juvenile facility for a credit card fraud.^[2] In 1995, MTV kept Rex on the air for over a year . After being let go by MTV during an update to its VJ line-up, Simon began to pursue acting and in 1999 was cast in the television show Jack & Jill, which ran for two seasons.
